Ever since the news of brutal gang rape and murder of the eight-year-old girl from Kathua has emerged, voices and support have been pouring in, to demand justice for the deceased minor. People are also collecting money so that they can fight the legal battle to put the culprits behind the bars.
Now, a Sikh engineer named Harmindarpal Singh from Tral district in Jammu and Kashmir, has donated his one month’s salary to the family of Kathua rape victim in solidarity with the family.
According to the reports, Singh said that he felt it was his duty to help the family in time of crisis and that he’s blessed to be able to donate his salary.
“The modesty of women should be respected in the entire country and that Asifa was the daughter of the country not such that of a nomadic family,” he added.
Singh stated that Asifa was like his daughter and he was pained to hear that such a brutal incident occurred. He demanded strict actions against the accused so that a future incident can be prevented.
